EUTHANASIA COMMITEE Mike & Jennifer Testify before the AMAD Committee - FULL

First weekend of protests 'caught everyone by surprise' | PM testifies a...

Bloggers note:  I feel appalled by the National Capital of Canada citizenry could not tolerate the peaceful and noisy protest of fellow Canadian coming from far and wide at great personal and financial cost .

It is a privilege to live in Ottawa, close to the national parliament, the seat of Government.and it is expected that protest and celebrations and events like Charity Runs Marches ..and parades and LGBTQ events and even taking over city sections and declare them vilage ..all kinds of things can happen here ....But the rejection of a legitimate and peaceful cause ..is NOT Canadian.

the first weekend
yeah
caught everyone by surprise through the
second weekend I think I mentioned it in
referring to Bill Blair
um talking with the local police with
his his own expertise and background
um talking about things that can be done
uh to try to de-escalate to start
putting an end to this understanding
that it can't happen overnight but that
there are things that should be done
there was an expectation or a hope that
on that second weekend we would see
um a decrease in activity and a
dwindling
instead we saw a surge on that second
weekend and
things that we had heard
that you know the police were going to
start doing this or doing that and we're
going to be able to
respond
didn't seem to be materializing there
was a sense that
that the
occupation was just continuing uh full
swing without without any real
control or
or even plan to end it and I know from
conversations with MPS and others that
the citizens of Ottawa were quite
frantic about having to go through a
second weekend of horns and disruptions
and and being yelled at for wearing
masks and not being able to
go to their neighborhood stores and
seeing the Rito Center shut down and all
these different things that were really
problematic and people were starting to
get pretty upset that this was you know
two full weekends that that they were

CHINA INTERFERANCE IN CANADA Global National, Nov. 16, 2022 | Toronto businessman focus of 2019 elect...

Trudeau (HOGWASH) on tense moment with China's Xi at G20: “Not every conversation ...

..Bloggers note : Trudeau did not have time to highlight anything at the G20 he rather leaked his shopping list to Canadian media hoping XI would not notice his childlike diplomacy

..

exchange with Xi Jinping and she the
president XI seemed to be very upset
accused you of uh leaking the contents
of a conversation uh that you two had on
the sidelines of the G20 I'm just
wondering
why was President XI so upset that there
was this a misunderstanding did you
offer him some kind of assurances that
you wouldn't talk about this
first of all not every conversation is
always going to be easy
but it's extremely important we continue
to stand up for the things that are
important for Canadians uh this is
something we always do and
we will continue to I highlighted areas
in which we can and should be working
together a good example is the nature
cop cop 15 being held in Montreal over
the coming weeks
at the same time as I highlighted areas
of mutual concern uh geopolitical
challenges from the ward in Ukraine to
the situation in North Korea
I also highlighted uh
things of preoccupations to Canadians
like the question of interference with
our citizens and highlighted that it's
important that we be able to have
dialogue about this
but part of our values as Canadians is
being open and Frank about the
conversations we have keeping Canadians
involved and apprised of what it is that
we're doing and the conversations we're
having here and that's exactly what I
did
why do you think though I mean why do
you think he was so upset what was the
message that he was trying to get across
to you do you think this was a power
play of some kind
we know that China is an important
Global player in the economy and has a
very big impact on events around the
world Canada needs to be able to engage
constructively and directly on areas we
can work together while at the same time
we continue to
be there to challenge on human rights on
values and principles that matter to
Canadians and look to advance the
interests of Canadians and this is
something that we're going to
consistently do in a clear and hopefully

Is Justin Trudeau being frozen out by China at G20 summit in Bali?

Blogger note:  W ith transcript

HOMES DURING WINTER.
>> Marcia: CTV'S ANNIE
BERGERON-OLIVER IS TRAVELLING
WITH THE PRIME MINISTER.
SHE'S IN BALI WITH MORE.
HELLO TO YOU.
CANADA PROVIDING MORE SUPPORT
FOR UKRAINE WHILE ANNOUNCING A
SERIES OF NEW SANCTIONS AGAINST
SOME RUSSIANS.
TELL US MORE.
>> Reporter: GOOD EVENING.
YES, SO THIS HAPPENED AROUND 7
p.m. LOCAL TIME.
MELANIE JOLY CAME AND TALKED TO
US AND ANNOUNCED CANADA WAS
GOING TO BE PROVIDING AN
ADDITIONAL $500 MILLION IN
MILITARY AID TO UKRAINE.
SHE DIDN'T PROVIDE A LOT OF
DETAILS TO WHEN THIS TYPE OF AID
WILL BE SENT TO UKRAINE, WHEN
THEY'LL GET SOME OF THESE
DELIVERABLES AND MILITARY
EQUIPMENT THAT THEY'VE BEEN
ASKING FOR.
SHE SAID MORE DETAILS ARE TO
COME WHEN SHE WAS ASKED FOR
SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT TYPES OF
EQUIPMENT AND WHETHER IT WILL BE
SOME OF THE DEMANDS THAT THE
UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT GAVE CANADA
A FEW MONTHS AGO, SPECIFICALLY
THEY WANTED LAVS.
AGAIN NOT A LOT OF CLARITY.
WE JUST KNOW THIS MONEY WILL BE
HELPED TO USE THE UKRAINIAN
ARMED FORCES AND THE CMO SAYS IT
WILL GO TOWARDS MEDICAL
EQUIPMENT, FOR EXAMPLE, MEDICAL
SUPPLIES, MILITARY SURVEILLANCE
EQUIPMENT AS WELL AS FUEL.
SO $500 MILLION.
THIS IS IN ADDITION TO THE
500 MILLION IN THE MOST RECENT
BUDGET.
BUT IN TERMS OF HOW EXACTLY THIS
MONEY WILL BE SPENT AND WHEN IT
WILL BE DELIVERED, NOT SO MANY
DETAILS THERE.
>> Marcia: LET'S TALK ABOUT
CHINA.
WE KNOW THAT BIDEN'S MEETING
WITH XI JUST WRAPPED UP A SHORT
TIME AGO.
THE TWO MEETING TWO TWO OR THREE
HOURS, BUT CANADA IS NOT GOING
TO BE MEETING OFFICIALLY WITH
ANYONE FROM CHINA.
WHAT'S THE LATEST THAT YOU CAN
TELL US?
>> Reporter: IT'S REALLY QUITE
AN INTERESTING DYNAMIC, AND I
ASKED MELANIE JOLY WHETHER
CANADA WAS ENGAGING WITH CHINA
IN ANY CAPACITY OR WHETHER THEY
WERE REALLY JUST TRYING TO TREES
FREEZE THEM OUT.
SHE DIDN'T PROVIDE MUCH OF AN
ANSWER.
SHE WAS ASKED REPEATEDLY WHETHER
TRUDEAU ASKED FOR A MEETING WITH
XI JINPING AND DIDN'T PROVIDE AN
ANSWER AND TRIED TO SKIRT AROUND
THE QUESTION.
RIGHT NOW IT SEEMS LIKE CANADA
DOES NOT HAVE A MEETING WITH XI
JINPING.
SHE SAYS SHE WILL BE SITTING
NEXT TO HER CHINESE COUNTERPART
AND THEY WILL EXCHANGE
PLEASANTRIES AND CHAT A BIT.
BUT I SAID TO HER THAT'S
DIFFERENT THAN A BILATERAL
MEETING OR A [INDISCERNIBLE] AND
SHE SAID OFTEN CONVERSATIONS
THAT ARE JUST VERY NEXT DOOR TO
EACH OTHER OVER WATER-TYPE
CONVERSATIONS YIELD BIG RESULTS.
BUT WHAT'S REALLY INTERESTING
HERE IS THE FACT THAT THE
AUSTRALIAN [INDISCERNIBLE] THEIR
COUNTERPART, I BELIEVE IT WAS
THE FOREIGN MINISTER THAT THE
ASEAN SUMMIT.
HERE WE KNOW THAT U.S. PRESIDENT
JUST WRAPPED UP A MEETING WITH
PRESIDENT XI.
THE AUSTRALIANS ARE SLATED TO
HAVE A MEETING TOMORROW AND
[INDISCERNIBLE] IS GOING TO BE
HAVING A MEETING WITH CHINA.
SO A LOT OF CANADIAN ALLIES ARE
HAVING MEETINGS WITH THE CHINESE
BUT WE'RE NOT AND WE DON'T
EXACTLY KNOW WHETHER WE HAVE
TRIED TO SEEK THAT MEETING,
WHETHER WE'RE PURPOSEFULLY NOT
COMMUNICATING WITH THE CHINESE,
WHICH SORT OF GOES A BIT IN LINE
WITH THIS NEW INDO-PACIFIC
STRATEGY THAT REALLY IS MOVING
AWAY FROM CHINA AND FOCUSING ON
OTHER MORE EMERGING MARKETS TO
HELP DIVERSIFY CANADIAN BUSINESS
AND TRADE.
SO A LOT OF ANSWERS THAT WE
DON'T HAVE RIGHT NOW BUT
OBVIOUSLY CHINA AND THE TENSIONS
WITH CHINA ARE GOING TO BE A BIG
FACTOR HERE AT THE G20 THAT
LAUNCHES TOMORROW WITHIN OUR
TIME ZONE IS GOING TO BE
TUESDAY.
